The Asian Institute Migration Analysis Association (AIMAA) is a group dedicated to fostering engagement with issues of migration and displacement among students of diverse academic backgrounds. Each month features a new topic (e.g., refugee and migrant health disparities, environmental displacement, etc.) and biweekly meetings in which members engage in discussion of suggested reading material. Interested members are also invited to contribute to creative outputs such as blog posts that distill our main points of discussion. Given the intersectional nature human mobility, the group is open to all members of the UofT community regardless of one’s programme or level of study. We also seek to invite relevant practitioners and experts to engage in group discussions when possible.
