Mission Statement:
At INBPH, we foster interdisciplinary collaboration and innovation among University of Toronto students in biotechnology, neuroscience, and public health. Our goal is to bridge academic talent with real-world solutions, empowering future leaders to tackle global challenges through research, education, and technology.
Programs:
- Synergy Research Fellowship: Teams of upper- and lower-year students conduct research on pressing topics, guided by mentors, with opportunities to showcase their findings through webinars, expositions, and faculty-led discussions. Their work is recognized through published papers, posters, and presentations, offering valuable academic recognition and networking opportunities with professors and industry professionals. These initiatives provide students with practical, hands-on experience that complements their academic learning, while also creating a pathway for future research projects and fostering deeper faculty involvement in interdisciplinary collaboration.
- The Nexus Weekly: A student-driven magazine blending art, writing, science, and multimedia content, exploring the intersections of AI, healthcare, biotech, and neuroscience. It serves as a platform for creativity and learning.
- Sustainable Futures Initiative: A series of fun in-person events promoting sustainability, health, and student connection through fundraisers, social events, and mental wellness activities, fostering a balanced environment for all members.
