Global Girls Movement (GGM) St George

Global Girls Movement (GGM) is a student-led club dedicated to promoting the rights of girls in underprivileged and disadvantaged areas and communities, such as Afghanistan, Iran, and other low-income nations. Our mission is to inspire and mobilize UofT students to take action through a variety of initiatives, including partner organization fundraising, workshops, panel discussions with activists and policymakers, and mentorship programs to support girls’ education and advocate for their right to both receive and provide healthcare.

We aim to bring about meaningful change and increase awareness by fostering an understanding of the rich histories of women’s contributions around the world. To achieve this, we launch impactful social media and campus-wide awareness campaigns and host events such as cultural charity dinners, film screenings, and book discussions. By collaborating with other organizations and clubs, engaging in global and campus wide campaigns, and raising the voices of girls our initiative, we aim to empower the next generation of change makers.
Join us in connecting, and advocating to create a future where every girl has her human rights.
