Chapters for Change is an organization founded on a commitment to sharing well-researched mini-books on complex scientific and medical subjects to underserved and disadvantaged communities. A mini-book is a short book, of around twenty pages, that will be written by a team composed of an expert in the field and undergraduate student writers. Each book will be written by a different team. These will cover a wide-range of topics that concern serious issues in science and healthcare. The executive team shall be composed of eight (8) executive members, including two (2) co-presidents, one (1) marketing director, one (1) finance director, two (2) outreach directors and two (2) graphic design directors. The organization values the delivery of high-quality information that is clear, concise, and engaging to its audience.
For its members, the organization values self-driven and hard-working people who have an unrelenting drive to make science and medicine accessible to everyone. This drive must be a product of a dedication to serving your community and a dedication to science. Your time and effort have the capacity to change people’s lives–we ask for an understanding and appreciation of this fact in all the work you put into Chapters for Change.
