University of Toronto Hong Kong Student Organization (UTHKSO) St George

The purpose, objectives, mission and/or mandate of the organization is to build a supportive community for Hong Kong and Hong Kong-Canadian students at the University of Toronto while promoting Hong Kong’s social, political, and cultural heritage to the broader U of T community; to provide a space for discussion and the exchange of ideas about Hong Kong’s past, present, and future; to advance the development of Hong Kong Studies at the University of Toronto; and to collect and preserve the collective memory for the benefit of present and future generations. In fulfilling the mandate, the org strengthens the historical understanding and cultural literacy, fosters community bonding, supports students’ future success through professional and social networking opportunities, and contributes to the intellectual and cultural life of the University of Toronto.

  1. Four Regular Networking Meetings shall be convened each academic year (Two in the Fall term and Two in the Winter term).
  2. A year-end Group Photo Shoot shall be held at the conclusion of the academic year.
  3. Additional Events shall be organized upon member Interest and Request.
