Our mission is to bridge the gap between diagnosis and understanding what comes next. We provide accessible education, shared experiences, and open conversations to help individuals learn about their own or their loved ones’ diseases, their causes, expected outcomes, care options, and provide available resources. We also support ongoing research and advocacy by fundraising for relevant organizations. By fostering a supportive and non-judgmental environment, we aim to reduce stigma, empower individuals with knowledge, and guide them through an often-overwhelming period after receiving a diagnosis.

In addition to educational resources, the club will create space for open discussion where students and community members can ask questions, share experiences, and learn from one another. Questions and discussions will be guided by individuals who have personal experience with these conditions and/or research experience in the field. Conversations may include anecdotal perspectives from individuals who have personally navigated illness or experienced it through loved ones, alongside evidence-based research to provide accurate information. We also plan to host social gatherings where members can collaborate on fundraiser initiatives, connect with peers, and take time to relax and build community outside of academic and research demands.

Whether you are interested in meeting others involved in research, connecting with people who have experienced similar challenges in a personal or loved one’s setting, or giving back by supporting and guiding others through experiences you have already faced, we welcome you to join our club and be part of a community that aims to make a meaningful difference.
