The purpose of the society is to officially represent all full-time students in the Department of Mathematical and Computational Sciences at UTM. The society achieves and promotes the common interests, developments, and success of its members. MCSS fosters a social, academic, and career-related support system among students and the department by encouraging collaboration among students and maintaining open lines of communication between undergraduate students and faculty. Furthermore, the society promotes meaningful interactions between faculty and students outside of the formal lecture, tutorial, and laboratory settings.
