UTIHI is a student-run organization that aims to provide undergraduate, graduate, and professional students with opportunities to practice and learn about healthcare quality improvement and patient safety. Founded in 2009, UTIHI has organized numerous seminars, conferences, and community projects to promote the field of quality improvement and patient safety among the University of Toronto community. As part of our ongoing commitment to educate students, we organize IPE-credited workshops (in collaboration with the Centre for Advancing Collaborative Healthcare & Education at UofT & UHN), seminars, and healthcare-themed conferences. Since 2010, UTIHI has also worked with local healthcare institutions to provide students the opportunity to gain hands on experience with leading quality improvement and patient safety projects.
