We are UT Viewfinder, a student-based photography club from the University of Toronto.
Our goal is to provide a platform for photography enthusiasts to communicate, share and learn, and ultimately, to improve their skills. Over the past four years of our existence, we have organized numerous photography workshops, competitions, and exhibitions. As of this year, all of our events have nearly sold out, and our social media followers on platforms including WeChat, Facebook, and Instagram have exceeded thousands.
As the first Mandarin-speaking camera & photography club, the UT ViewFinder Photography Club is comprised of photography enthusiasts from UofT, OCAD, Humber College, and professional photography grounds. Since its establishment in 2012, ViewFinder has been applying itself to create a platform for photographers to improve their understanding of photography via series of high-quality workshops, seminars, and practice opportunities within the Great Toronto Area. It has shown its high professional, originality, and creativity in promoting their brand recognition and events popularity, and has created numerous outstanding graphic designs in its promotions, including a variety of advertisements, posts, and social-media designs. The positive reputation that ViewFinder has built within the Chinese student community is indisputable. In fact, we’re proud to say that we are the one and only official photography collaboration club for major (Chinese) organizations (ie. UTCSSA, UTCMC) in UofT.
