University of Toronto St. George Debate club invites members to explore interesting debate topics through participation and observation of debates. UTSGDC aims to improve members’ logical and argumentative skills through fact-based debates. The Club acts as a safe space for members to argue their perspectives using strategy and rationale. UTSGDC members do not work towards competition but rather towards improving personal speaking, debating, and strategic argument sequencing. University of Toronto St. George Debate Club not only focuses on the advancement of debating skills, but largely works to make sure that all members have a memorable and fun experience. The Club offers a myriad of marvellous and accessible events, ranging from ‘question-and-answer’ sessions with high profile lawyers, professors, and speaking coach professionals, various debate sessions, and social opportunities. All are welcome and all are encouraged to join!
