The University of Toronto Riichi Mahjong Club aims to provide a social platform for students who holds an interest in the complex and competitive game of Riichi Mahjong. We welcome students to come learn, improve, and make new acquaintances who holds this same interest. We promote and teach the statistically optimized theory of playing Riichi Mahjong, including the use of computational software and artificial intelligence software (eg. Naga) as aids in post-game analysis. We strive to provide a friendly learning environment for players of all skill level. We periodically hold in-person game events and online game events (via Maj-soul and Tenhou) to promote member enjoyment of the amazing and deep game.
