Mindfulness Meditation RetreatSt George

This non-residential Meditation Retreat includes Guided Meditation, Silent Meditation, Walking Meditation, Sermons and Chanting on Four Foundations of Mindfulness. This session is a great benefit to practice all the Meditations included in Four Foundation of Mindfulness Sutta. In addition, you will have an opportunity to learn and practice other meditations such as Loving Kindness, compassionate and Buddhānussati Meditations. You will learn the ways to develop your mindfulness and stay focused even in the difficult moments of life. ​The various age groups are welcome for this event including high school and university students. Also, this Retreat will be helpful to reduce and eradicate the stress, depression, and anxiety. Please get ready to observe and practice Eight Precepts through out the session.

Meditation Retreat will be conducted by a monk trained in the Theravada Buddhist tradition. You will have more time to interact with the monk and ask the questions. Lunch, Tea and Coffee will be provided for all the participants. If you have any dietary requirement, please feel free to bring your own lunch.

Please register if you can participate at least five days for the Retreat.

8.00 am – 8.40 am – Observing Eight precepts and Sermon 8.40 am – 9.00 am – Guided Meditation
9.00 am – 9.30 am – Silent Meditation
9.30 am – 10.00 am – Snack break
10.00 am – 10.45 am – Silent Meditation
10.45 am – 11.00 am – Offering food items to Buddha
11.00 am – 12.30 pm – Lunch break
12.30 pm – 1.00 pm – Chanting
1.00 pm – 1.30 pm – Sermon
1.30 pm – 2.00 pm – Walking Meditation
2.00 pm – 2.30 pm – Guided Meditation
2.30 pm – 3.00 pm – Silent Meditation
3.00 pm – 3.30 pm – Tea/Coffee break
3.30 pm – 5.30 pm – Silent Meditation and Walking Meditation
5.30 pm – 6.00 pm – Discussion, Q & A and merit sharing
