Philosophers for Humanity Benefit for ChangeSt George

March 19 @ 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm

$10.00
Date: Tuesday, 19 March 2024
Time: 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Location: East Common Room @ Hart House

Join us for insightful talks from our main speaker Professor William Paris and PhD candidate Natalie Martin, networking, catered food, an artistic performance by UofT student Johanna, and a reflection on our accomplishments as we end our first year! Join us for a night of philosophy and philanthropy!
Ticket price: $10.00 each
$7.5 out of every $10 will go directly to the Fort York Food Bank. The rest of the ticket price will go to covering operating costs; we are in our first year after all! However, we hope that in the future we can have 100% of the ticket price go to the charity we support.
How to purchase tickets:
1. Fill out all fields in the following form: https://forms.gle/GxZo3wkh6VcrbAS97
2. Pay for your tickets by sending an e-transfer for the total amount to philosophersforhumanity@outlook.com
3. You will receive an e-mail confirming that we have received your payment (along with all of this information; don’t worry about remembering it all!)
4. Show up to the event! Make sure to bring photo ID for registration.
Please note that this event is open to all, members or not! Also, we recognise that many students might have classes during some parts of the event. To this end, all attendees are able to arrive late and leave early. For instance, if you arrive one hour late (at 6:00 PM), you will still be able to watch the artistic performance, the talk and Q&A session with Natalie Martin, our reflection of our accomplishments, and the time dedicated for networking at the end. Food will also be available throughout the entirety of the event.
We thank you (very very much) for buying tickets and supporting our initiatives and the Fort York Food Bank! Don’t hesitate to e-mail us or DM us on Instagram (@philosophersforhumanity) if you have any questions! See you there!
*In order to reduce barriers to access for any students breaking their fast for Ramadan during our event, please note that Natural Delights Medjool dates will be provided. Furthermore, there will be access to an inter-faith chapel on the main floor of Hart House.*
