The African, Asian and Latin American Research and Oriental Philosophy Bund is an interdisciplinary student organization dedicated to the study of the Global South, non-Western intellectual traditions, political economy, history, culture, and philosophy. The group provides a space for students to critically examine Africa, Asia, and Latin America through research, discussion, reading groups, speaker events, publications, and collaborative academic projects.

Our mission is to promote serious student-led inquiry into anti-colonial thought, development, international relations, comparative politics, social theory, and Eastern or non-Western philosophy. We aim to connect students from different academic backgrounds who are interested in understanding global society beyond a purely Western-centered perspective.

Through academic events, research workshops, cultural discussions, and publication opportunities, the group seeks to build a community for students interested in Africa, Asia, Latin America, and the broader historical and philosophical traditions of the non-Western world.
