ASHRAE was formed as the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers in 1959. It is now a global organization of more than 50,000 members from over 132 nations that serve to advance the arts and sciences of heating, ventilation, air-conditioning and refrigeration to promote a sustainable world.

At the UofT student branch of ASHRAE, we aim to introduce students to the fields represented by ASHRAE and provide learning and networking opportunities through conferences, seminars, publications, and tours. If you are interested in energy efficiency and green building systems design, ASHRAE is for you.
