Administered by the Department of Cell and Systems Biology in collaboration with several other departments, the Bioinformatics & Computational Biology (BCB) program, also known as “bofo,” is an interdisciplinary program that merges biology, computer science, data science, and more. This specialized program forms a close-knit community, embracing the unique convergence of these diverse areas.
The BCB Students’ Association (BCBSA) is an integral part of this program. It is committed to representing all BCB students, addressing issues related to the program, the broader field, current research trends, and involvement opportunities. Through fostering academic and social connections among its members, the BCBSA enriches the overall BCB experience, making it a nurturing and thriving environment.
Steve Jobs once said, “I think the biggest innovations of the 21st century will be at the intersection of biology and technology.” This statement embodies bioinformatics, a crossroads of pivotal fields. Ready to join the ‘bofo’ frontier? Your journey begins here.
