The Biotechnology And Computer Science Association is a club born from our awareness of the fact that it is remarkably hard for Biotechnology students to gain relevant industry experience before graduating. This is due to high entry requirements for laboratories (usually requiring students to already possess an undergraduate degree), as well as little exposure to specialized resources and research at our university. We aim to aid students in this struggle by providing an entry point into the industry through creating opportunities for research and industry experience for everyone, giving students a resume boost and a significant advantage over others upon graduating. In this club we fuse the fields of Biotechnology and Computer Science, providing the skills to employ programming and other technological analysis tools to deepen our understanding of biology and innovate further.
