Chapters for Change (CFC) St George

Chapters for Change is a student-led health literacy initiative dedicated to making complex science and medical topics more accessible to the public. We create clear, evidence-based mini-books that break down important health issues in a way that is understandable, practical, and relevant to diverse communities. Our goal is to reduce misinformation, improve health literacy, and help address barriers to care by supporting informed health decisions, particularly among underserved and disadvantaged populations.

Each mini-book is developed by a team of undergraduate student writers and guided by experienced mentors with knowledge in the relevant field. Through this collaborative model, students gain meaningful experience in science communication, research, and community engagement while contributing to a larger mission of health equity. In addition to producing educational resources, we work with community partners to distribute our mini-books, host informational seminars, and organize book launch events that create opportunities for discussion, learning, and outreach.
