The purpose of the Christian Orthodox Campus-Ministry Association (COCA) at the University of Toronto Mississauga is to provide a supportive community for Orthodox Christian students (both Oriental and Eastern) due to the lack of Orthodox presence despite Mississauga being home to a very large group of Copts and more. Its mission is to help students strengthen their identity, engage in fellowship, preserve heritage, and most importantly deepen their relationship with Christ through Bible studies, priest-led talks, group prayers, creative events (such as prayer rope making, iconography, and more), potluck and movie nights, and, potentially serve in outreach/shelter & homeless services! COCA aims to create a space where students can feel rooted in their Orthodox Christian identity and have fun!
