During the University’s winter break, student group leaders may apply for student group recognition, request edits to existing student groups, and submit and edit events and opportunities, but University staff will not be available to review applications and edit requests and to provide support, from Tuesday, December 23 until Monday, January 5. Cinema Studies Student Union St George

The Cinema Studies Student Union (CINSSU) is the voice of undergraduate students enrolled in the Cinema Studies program at the University of Toronto. The team is made up of dedicated undergraduate volunteers. Our screenings, events, and publications represent our student body but are often available to everyone in Toronto.

We organize…

  • Lectures from professors and graduate students
  • Filmmaking workshops from practicing filmmakers
  • Collaborations with film studios & organizations
  • Free Friday Films: Every Friday during the school year (September – April), CINSSU screens on the big screen a film curated by our programmers. Innis Town Hall, 7 PM, open to the public unless stated otherwise.
  • WTF Wednesdays: Every Wednesday or so, CINSSU gets the itch to screen a film that appeals to about a dozen people. Are you one? Innis College or Robarts Library, evenings, open to the public unless stated otherwise.
