Congenital Heart Initiative (CHI) is a student-led organization at the University of Toronto dedicated to raising awareness about congenital heart diseases (CHD) as well as supporting organizations focused on these conditions. Our goal is to educate students about CHD while providing opportunities to participate in awareness, fundraising, and volunteer initiatives that support those affected by CHD.

CHI provides a space for students to connect, get involved in their community, and learn about an impactful health condition. Members can participate in volunteering and outreach events and, if they choose, become part of a team that helps organize initiatives and strengthen connections within the community while contributing to an important cause.

General membership meetings are held once per semester, during which CHI updates and activities are shared. The Executive Committee meets bimonthly to organize and plan events. Registered students from all backgrounds are invited to join and help promote awareness, support, and positivity for those affected by CHD and the community around them.
