Welcome to CREATE!

CREATE is a student-run club in the Computer and Mathematical Sciences (CMS) department at UTSC. We connect students who want to work on technical projects, whether that be as a Developer or a Project Lead. Everything from a startup idea to enterprise-level tools for non-profit organizations. By joining a project team, you’ll learn by doing: brainstorming features, creating designs, writing or reviewing code, testing, and ultimately delivering a working solution that someone really needs.

Alongside projects, we offer workshops and final exam review sessions so you can pick up new skills as you go: maybe you’re learning a JavaScript framework, trying to learn Linux, or studying for your CSC courses, you can learn a lot here.

In addition, we host our annual event, Code Clash. During the event, you try to build a game bot for a game we created and test your bot against others. The best one wins!

Whatever your background, there’s a role for you: if you care about building something real, CREATE will give you the support, structure, and community you need to grow your skills, build your portfolio, and make meaningful connections across disciplines.
