Etherea UTM is a global social impact and leadership community where students collaborate with activists, researchers, and organizations worldwide to shape the future of education and changemaking. As part of a global initiative, members engage in various forms of impact aimed at empowering other youth around the world to take action on today’s most pressing world issues.

Through this work, Etherea UTM focuses on six forms of impact that members can actively contribute to:

• Activism and education through co-creating global social justice curricula for schools, contributing to the edtech platform, and organizing workshops and events across these themes
• Volunteering and community engagement by supporting local and global initiatives aligned with different issue areas
• Policy change and advocacy through research, campaigns, and collaboration with organizations and leaders in the Canadian and global policy space
• Fundraising and resource mobilization to support impactful projects, programs, and communities
• Innovation through developing new ideas, tools, and solutions within the platform and educational content
• Conscious purchasing choices by supporting and promoting ethical and eco-friendly brands through partnerships and initiatives
