First Year Connect Club is a student-led organization at the University of Toronto Mississauga (UTM) dedicated to supporting first-year students in their transition to university life. Our mission is to create a welcoming, supportive, and inclusive environment by providing mentorship, fostering community, and helping students navigate academic and institutional resources. Through our structured mentorship program, first-year students are paired with experienced upper-year mentors who offer guidance on academic pathways, extracurricular opportunities, and essential university resources.

In addition to mentorship, we host a variety of community-building events designed to help students form meaningful connections, collaborate with peers, and engage with the broader UTM community. Our institutional literacy workshops simplify complex university processes, ensuring students gain a clear understanding of course enrollment, academic planning, and campus services. We also provide exclusive resources and insider knowledge to help students navigate student life, career services, and academic success strategies.
