Fostering Interest in Species and Habitats (FISH) UTM

The FISH Club (Fostering Interest in Species & Habitats) is a student-led campus group at the University of Toronto Mississauga dedicated to cultivating awareness and appreciation of ecology in a welcoming, community-oriented environment. The club provides opportunities for undergraduate students to unearth ecological concepts through creative workshops, social gatherings, and hands-on initiatives.

Through monthly social gatherings such as nature-themed board game nights, ecological craft workshops, guided nature walks, and pollinator garden building, the club aims to integrate learning with fun and creativity. These initiatives encourage students from all disciplines to connect withy flora, fauna, and one another, while fostering inclusivity, curiosity and environmental awareness.

The FISH club is committed to serving the diverse student body of UTM by providing accessible programming, promoting interdisciplinary learning, and building a strong sense of community around shared ecological interests. Membership is open to all UTMSU members.
