The Hart House Symphonic Band is an amateur music group composed of U of T alumni and students. HHSB strives to bring together a diverse group of people with a wide range of academic, cultural, religious and musical backgrounds. We aim to create a cohesive group that is connected by each member’s desire to play and perform varied and challenging repertoire in a fun and relaxed musical atmosphere. Our weekly rehearsals, led by dynamic conductor Mark Saresky, culminate in at least two public concerts per year, one at the end of each term. The Symphonic Band is committed to giving students the opportunities to conduct as well as to perform folk, modern and classical music. Auditions take place at the beginning of the school year.
Weekly rehearsals are on Tuesday from 5:45PM – 8PM in the Great hall.
