During the University’s winter break, student group leaders may apply for student group recognition, request edits to existing student groups, and submit and edit events and opportunities, but University staff will not be available to review applications and edit requests, nor to provide support, from Monday, December 23 until Monday, January 6. “Laadliyan”, a non-profit organization founded in 2013, is dedicated to celebrating and empowering South Asian daughters through engagement, education, and awareness. Our mission is to educate others about the gender-based violence and various challenges disproportionately affecting South Asian women and girls, which have significantly impacted their lives. At UTM, we aim to foster a sisterhood that empowers women in their professional, personal, and interpersonal lives.
