National Organization for Rare Disorders – Students for Rare UTSG Chapter St George

The purpose, objectives, mission and/or mandate of the organization is to unite students of all disciplines to spread awareness of rare disease and explore future opportunities working with the rare disease community. National Organization of Rare Disorders (NORD) works towards advancing and enduring changes for the rare disorder community by elevating care, advancing research, and uplifting all individuals living with rare disorders. Millions of individuals suffer daily with disorders that go neglected, unnoticed, and unsupported due to lack of awareness, research, and communication surrounding them. Our mission is to support NORD’s mission by advocating for change in the rare disorder community, host fundraisers, and spread the word about rare disorders in our community and campus.
