Welcome to Paws For A Cause at UTM!! A student-run animal welfare club dedicated to supporting no-kill animal shelters through fundraising, education, and community engagement! Our mission is to raise awareness for adoptable animals while making a change in the lives of animals in need.
Members can expect hands-on involvement in meaningful activities, including fundraising events, shelter partnerships, adoption awareness campaigns, and outreach within the UTM community. PFAC also offers educational and professional development opportunities for students interested in animal care, veterinary medicine, and related fields. This includes workshops and seminars on topics such as animal welfare, responsible adoption, veterinary pathways, and practical skills like basic suturing, animal CPR, and bandaging.
All funds raised by PFAC go directly to local no-kill animal shelters to help cover essential needs like medical care, food, bedding, and rehabilitation resources. Every event and initiative is designed to make a real difference, so members can see the direct impact of their efforts on animals in need.
Paws for a Cause is open to all U of T students, no matter your program or career goals. Whether you’re set on a future in veterinary medicine, curious about animal-related careers, or simply love animals and want to give back, PFAC is a supportive and inclusive community to get involved in. You’ll meet like-minded people, gain hands-on experience, and be part of a club that combines compassion, learning, and meaningful action, all while helping animals find better futures.
