The Rare Diseases Foundation (RDF) aims to raise awareness for the multitude of rare diseases that exist today all over the world. Oftentimes, these rare diseases are not properly diagnosed or misdiagnosed as other illnesses altogether and therefore, result in the inadequate treatment of patients. RDF strives to push the momentum for such public awareness, while simultaneously fundraising for charitable organizations. The three pillars by which the foundation operates are education, equity, and creativity. The organization aims to educate and inspire students to study these topics through monthly Q&A seminars featuring leading experts on rare diseases. Beyond this scope, members focus intently on exploring new angles through which all students can improve their scientific literature reading skills and learn more about a career in rare diseases research.
