Science Students Club (SSC) St George

Our society aims to bridge the divide between the life science and physical science courses/fields through the medium of a friendly collaborative environment.

Students interested in the sciences, whether its life sciences or physical sciences, are often required to chose one or two domains they find most interesting out of all the sciences to pursue in depth in university. As a result, students who may have predilections in many different scientific fields, are subsequently limited to only studying one or maybe two of these fields. Yet every subject in science are closely intertwined, and build off of each other to explain greater phenomenons.

Consequently, our society aims to bridge this divide between various scientific fields by creating an environment where  students come together to exchange knowledge about all of these different fields, offering the members a holistic overview of the sciences as a whole. Besides, this group also serves as an opportunity for its members to dabble in scientific fields other than the one of their major(s), that they might not be familiar with or might have an interest in.

In other words, this group is an opportunity to exchange with people who might share different or similar interest, and to learn about other fields, which overall, all tie together. Through social events, you will have the opportunity to network with people, to broaden your field of interest and to promote personal professional/career development.
