The purpose of the club is to educate students and bring current South Asian undergraduate students together who are trying to pursue a career in law. The group’s main highlight is to establish a network between present students, alumni, and a broader South Asian legal community, with the influence of guest speakers, specifically from the South Asian communities who are already in the workforce. While also organizing panels and hosting networking events related to current issues affecting human rights, equity, diversity, other cultural events and fundraisers to promote students with greater opportunities after graduating from the university and learning more information in the field of Law. This club is called UTM South Asians in law, however, anyone from any background is welcome to join.
