Students Supporting Israel supports the Jewish people’s right to self-determination in their ancestral homeland. This does not negate the right of any other people’s self-determination. With the steady rise of antisemitism across Canada, especially in Toronto, we seek to support and defend Jewish students, Judaism, and Israel. We reject the idea that the rights and interests of Israelis and Palestinians are mutually exclusive, along with rejecting the idea that the situation in the Middle East must be a zero-sum game. We seek to engage with students on the topic of Israel, ensuring voices are heard and dialogue remains peaceful. Our goal is to educate the campus community about Israel’s people, history, current events, and culture.
