The Collective Undergraduate Research Experience (CURE) was founded based on conversations with the undergraduate student community about the lack of resources and support for UofT students who are looking to get into research and develop their research careers. We seek to identify the unmet needs of current and prospective student researchers and create initiatives to bridge those gaps! Our goal is to build a community of research-motivated UofT undergraduates that can freely share their experiences, successes, and challenges in research through a variety of events, activities and leadership roles. We are home to many initiatives and events, including:
- ADVISORSHIP PROGRAM: First-of-its-kind, 1-on-1 online advising sessions with a current undergraduate researcher. If you have questions about research, this is the place to be! Match yourself with an Advisor of your choice using our Advisor Directory.
- FLASH TALKS: First time presenting your research? No problem! We provide an easy-going, low-pressure environment and tons of feedback as your prepare your talk with us. No research to present? Not a problem either! Take the opportunity to network with undergraduate researchers.
- SOCIALS: Pizza, ice cream, game nights, and more! Get to know like-minded students – make lasting connections and build your network.
- RAPID RESUME REVIEW: Let us help you get started on your summer research applications! With a workshop and a peer review session, we promise you will leave with actionable advice and a newfound confidence in your resume and cover letter writing skills.
