We’re the Toronto AI Safety Student Initiative (aka TAISI), and we’re a student group focused on researching and mitigating long-term risks from advanced AI through policy and technical work.
For example, this could include trying to prevent the misuse of highly capable models to manufacture bio weapons, or figuring out how to robustly incorporate human values into the goals of an autonomous system.
Many of these risks call for an interdisciplinary approach.
We host fellowships, discussion groups, socials, and workshops for students interested in working in AI Safety
