The University of Toronto Armwrestling Club is a student group led by competitive arm-wrestlers with the goal of teaching interested members of the University of Toronto student body how to arm wrestle. The structure of practices will involve experienced arm-wrestlers pairing up with more junior members, teaching them how to arm wrestle safely, and how to use their strength effectively against their opponent. Armwrestling is a common occurrence anywhere two people want to have a simple contest of strength, and while strength is a key component of success in the sport of armwrestling, the club’s main focus will always be on the martial nature of armwrestling, which involves gaining strategic advantages over your opponent. Generally speaking, armwrestling clubs foster an easygoing and educational environment where members experience a sense of camaraderie, personal growth, and lighthearted competition. We welcome all interested students to join practices and to come see what the sport of armwrestling is all about.
