UofT Baja Racing (UTBR) is a multidisciplinary student design team for the adventurous spirit and mud enthusiast. We aim to build community connections and encourage hands-on learning through the exciting process of designing, manufacturing, and presenting a 4WD vehicle for exciting and rigorous terrains.

Each year, our team competes in international competitions where we push our vehicle’s capabilities through different challenges. We emphasize both the technical and business aspects of preparing a vehicle for static events, such as design reports, sales presentations, and cost analysis, as well as dynamic events that test the vehicle’s endurance, acceleration, and maneuverability.

As the only team at UofT working on off-road vehicles with an internal combustion engine, we offer a unique opportunity to explore a niche area of engineering that’s both a challenge and edge-of-the-Baja-seat thrilling. We’re not just about building cars; we’re about building a community of creative problem-solvers, passionate innovators and adrenaline nuts.
