UofT Baja Racing (UTBR) is a multidisciplinary student design team for the adventurous spirit and mud enthusiast. We aim to build community connections and encourage hands-on learning through the exciting process of designing, manufacturing, and presenting a 4WD vehicle for exciting and treacherous terrains.

Each year, our team competes in international competitions, where we push our vehicle’s capabilities through different challenges. We emphasize both the engineering technical and business aspects of preparing a vehicle for static events like design reports, sales presentations and cost analysis as well as dynamic events that test the endurance, acceleration, and maneuverability of the vehicle.

As the only team at UofT working on off-road vehicles with an internal combustion engine, we offer a unique opportunity to explore a niche area of engineering that’s both a challenge and edge-of-the-Baja seat thrilling. We’re not just about building cars; we’re about building a community of creative problem-solvers, passionate innovators and adrenaline nuts.
