The University of Toronto Policython Club (UTP) aims to equip youth with the skills, experiences, and networks needed to excel in policymaking, governance, and advocacy. We strive to provide an interdisciplinary platform that challenges and supports students from all academic backgrounds in exploring real-world policy issues.
To bring this mission to life, we host Fireside Chats, run a General Membership program, manage a student-led Publications Journal, facilitate networking opportunities, and organize our flagship event—Policython. Every year, this multi-day case competition brings together undergraduate and graduate students from across Canada to craft innovative policy briefs and present their recommendations to a panel of distinguished judges.
At UTP, we believe in the power of collective action and in the leadership of young people to drive meaningful change. We are committed to building an inclusive, respectful, and accessible environment in everything we do. Our platform is designed to help students sharpen their policy thinking, deepen their civic engagement, and contribute to solutions for today’s most urgent challenges.
