UofT Traditional Chinese Medicine Club St George

Students will be introduced to the principles of traditional chinese medicine (TCM) and its practical applications for everyday wellness. A central focus of the club is learning how to balance the body—understanding the connections between mind, body, and energy, and how to maintain harmony in daily life.

Through interactive workshops, members will explore how pressure points link different parts of the body and how acupressure techniques can support stress relief, focus, and overall balance. The club will also focus on medicinal cooking by incorporating traditional herbal formulas in soups and teas. We will study common herbs, their properties, fucntions, applications and how to identify them.

Alongside hands-on activities, the club highlights the cultural and historical roots of TCM, showing how its practices connect to lifestyle, seasonal changes, and holistic well-being. Other events hosted may include guest speakers, field days, and TCM formulated tea pop-ups.

Open to all students regardless of background, UofT TCM offers both knowledge and practical skills. Members will leave with accessible ways to care for themselves—whether through herbs, simple recipes, or acupressure techniques—while gaining a deeper appreciation for the traditions that promote health, balance, and resilience.
