The Department of Visual Studies Student Society (DVSSS or DVS Student Society) was formed in 2011. The society comprises students enrolled in DVS programs who share a dedication to fostering an artistically driven, convivial community within DVS, between the University of Toronto at Mississauga and the joint Sheridan Trafalgar campus and beyond campus grounds. Our purpose as an academic society is to enrich the experience of DVS students by providing support, resources, and events that promote professional, personal, intellectual, artistic, and social development.

The Department of Visual Studies houses the Art History, Art and Art History, Visual Culture and Communications, and Cinema Studies Programs.

Membership is open to all students, staff, faculty and alumni of the University of Toronto. Members are accepted throughout the academic year.
