The purpose of the society is to officially represent all full time students in the Mathematical and Computational Sciences department at UTM. The society achieves and promote the common interests, developments and success of its members. MCSS encourages a social, academic and career related support system among students and department while maintaining open lines of communication between undergraduate students and faculty, as well as maintaining communication between students themselves. Furthermore, the society encourages faculty and student interaction outside of the formal lecture, tutorial and lab setting.
