UTMCA’s purpose is to improve the University of Toronto Mississauga students’ experience by organizing events, providing information and socializing in hopes of personal, academic and professional development.
UTMCA represents students from various academic disciplines with a shared interest in business strategy, management consulting, innovation, and problem solving. The primary focus is to serve as a platform that connects students with industry professionals, alumni, faculty and consulting firms to foster experiential learning and career development in the consulting field.
UTMCA is committed to bridge the gap between theoretical education and real-world application by providing students with hands-on experiences such as case competitions, skill-building workshops, and networking sessions. These initiatives are designed to help students apply academic knowledge to practical business challenges, enhance professional skillsets, and gain exposure to the consulting industry.
The mission is to create a vibrant and inclusive community where students can explore various areas of consulting, including management, strategy, technology, operations, and more. Through strategic partnerships with consulting firms, alumni, and university stakeholders, meaningful connections are fostered that empower students to learn about consulting and potentially pursue a career in the industry.
UTMCA actively collaborates with other student organizations and academic societies at UTM and beyond to broaden reach and impact. The association is dedicated to elevating the reputation of UTM as a hub for aspiring consultants, while providing resources, mentorship and experiences that prepare students for future success.
