The University of Toronto Mississauga’s Model Parliament club invites UofT students to learn more about Canada’s democratic legislative processes by participating in organized parliamentary simulations. Participants will have the opportunity to role-play as members of parliament by working with other civic-minded students to draft bills, engage in political debate, propose amendments, and vote on policies.

Participants will benefit by

• gaining a deeper understanding of governance and democracy
• improve public speaking, critical thinking, negotiation, teamwork and leadership skills
• develop an interest in current public and government affairs
