This Positive Minds Club at UTM is encouraging students from any disciplinary background to join in to research and discuss all things well-being and positive-psychology. We aim to help students feel safe enough to share their troubles, like what are the things that have them feeling stressed or insecure. Together as a group we aim to provide social support for one another and in turn, we will strive to learn more about what makes us happy? Learn more about training the mind like mindfulness, learn how to promote self-acceptance, how to deal with stress, how to foster healthy relationships and more! Overall, together, we will learn how to re-appraise things in a positive manner and how we can contribute to our well-being. This will be done through readings of research related to the fields of positive-psychology and the psychology of well-being and ultimately discussions where we can share our insights and potentially try out new methods that will promote positivity and well-being.
