Mission/Purpose Statement
The purpose of TCI is to provide members with education on Chinese, Canada and US financial markets along with a discussion and practice platform to improve their investing acumen. As part of the UTSC community, we bring more insights, practical skills, and job opportunities to members who desire to work in Greater Toronto area and other emerging markets in North America and China. Our mission is to connect UTSC students with top financial institutions, market regulation agencies, and legendary investors.
Objectives
TCI shall achieve its purpose by doing the following:
• Operate paper money stock market investment competition
• Invite guest speakers to share about insights in Global financial institutions
• Connect Global hedge funds, investment banks, and mutual funds to recruit
• Organize weekly club trainings to enhance member’s knowledge in Global markets
• Facilitate networking events to help students better prepare for job hunting
