Visible Women aims to identify, discuss, and change the discrete discrimination and microaggression that female UofT students feel in their academic, professional, and daily lives due to men being unconsciously set as the default standard. Members are welcome to share any kind of experience and insights, especially those commonly labeled as being “too sensitive”. Members can expect regular seminars on a particular topic regarding discrete discrimination, where they can securely share their experiences, analyze the reason behind that kind of discrimination, and discuss how to deal with similar situations. Topics will be determined by the executive members based on options collected from all members and will be posted before each seminar.
