The Youth for Innocence – University of Toronto Student Chapter is a student-led initiative dedicated to investigating wrongful convictions and advocating for justice reform. Inspired by the work of the Innocence Project, our chapter empowers University of Toronto students to develop practical legal skills through case research, community education, and collaboration with legal professionals. Our mission is to raise awareness about systemic flaws in the criminal justice system and to support efforts that help free innocent individuals who have been wrongfully convicted. We provide students with a unique opportunity to engage in meaningful advocacy, apply their academic knowledge, and contribute to real-world change.
We welcome students from all disciplines who are passionate about justice, human rights, and social impact. Join us to make a difference on campus and beyond.
