We are looking for a Director of Social Media & Content to lead and manage the online presence of a student-led AI initiative at the University of Toronto.
This is a director-level role with real ownership, focused on content strategy, engagement, and audience growth around an upcoming in-person AI panel featuring founders, clinicians, and investors working on real-world AI deployment, as well as the longer-term growth of the club.
You will be responsible for setting direction and executing, not just posting content. This includes:
-
Leading social media strategy (Instagram primary)
-
Creating and overseeing posts, stories, and event promotion
-
Growing followers and engagement organically
-
Shaping the public narrative, tone, and brand of the club
-
Coordinating with the core team on timing and messaging
This is not a passive or resume-padding role. You’ll work closely with a small, high-trust team and have autonomy to propose ideas and experiment creatively.
What you’ll gain:
-
Experience owning and scaling an organization’s public presence from the ground up
-
Direct exposure to serious AI, healthcare, and startup conversations
-
A leadership role in a growing, high-standards student initiative at UofT
-
Opportunity to continue in senior leadership if mutually interested
Who we’re looking for:
-
UofT students who are reliable, organized, and proactive
-
Comfortable leading content creation and engagement strategy
-
Experience with Instagram or digital content is helpful but not required
-
No AI or technical background required — judgment and execution matter more
Time commitment is light to moderate, with higher involvement leading up to the panel.
