Ask An Undergrad is a national nonprofit organization committed to promoting equitable access to resources and mentorship for Canadian youth, with the ultimate goal of supporting their pursuit of higher education. Ask An Undergrad- UofT Student Chapter aims to ‘Help high school and incoming first-year students transition into post-secondary institutions and help mitigate the challenges associated with pursuing higher education by providing mentorship support to youth.

As a general member of AAU-UofT, you will:

  1. Be a mentor for high school students and first-year UofT students. This is accomplished through Coffee Chats: if a student fills out our coffee chat interest form and selects a program that matches your profile, we will ‘match’ them with you. You’ll meet with them over Zoom OR answer their questions via email. You can provide them with information on university life, student experiences, extracurricular opportunities, anecdotes, infrastructure, etc based on your experience as a university student.

  2. Spread the word about AAU-UofT to increase engagement with coffee chats

  3. Connect with like-minded students and network with people across various programs at UofT

  4. OPTIONAL DUTIES: Assist with event planning and social media work for AAU-UofT

We accept applications on a rolling basis, but will be onboarding members at two points in the 2024 to 2025 term; once in the fall, and once in the winter. To be part of the fall onboarding, please apply by September 20th 2024. To be part of the winter onboarding, please apply by January 25th 2025.
