Social Media and Content Coordinator St George

About the Role:

We’re seeking an enthusiastic and creative volunteer to join our university student club as a Social Media and Content Coordinator. This dynamic role combines social media management, content creation, videography coordination, and event facilitation. The ideal candidate will have a passion for digital communication, a keen eye for visual content, and strong organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Social Media Management

  • Manage and grow the club’s presence on platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn
  • Develop and implement a social media content calendar
  • Engage with followers and respond to comments and messages
  • Track and report on social media metrics and growth

Content Creation

  • Create engaging written, visual, and video content for social media platforms
  • Design graphics and infographics for promotional materials and social media posts
  • Write blog posts and articles for the club’s website or newsletter

Videography Coordination

  • Plan and coordinate video shoots for club events, interviews, and promotional content
  • Liaise with videographers or manage a team of volunteer videographers
  • Oversee the editing and post-production process of video content
  • Ensure all video content aligns with the club’s brand and messaging

Workshop and Lecture Facilitation

  • Assist in planning and organizing workshops and lectures
  • Coordinate with guest speakers and presenters
  • Facilitate discussions and Q&A sessions during events
  • Gather feedback from attendees and report on event success

Qualifications:

  • Current university student with a strong interest in digital media and communications
  • Proficiency in social media platforms and content creation tools
  • Basic knowledge of graphic design and video editing software
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience in event planning or facilitation is a plus

Time Commitment:

  • 2-10 hours per week, with flexibility around academic schedules
  • Attendance at bi-weekly club meetings and major events
